This is how I used to handle it from the playerMenu - but personally i prefer the way it's done now. You can reduce this but visually the way arma handles the terrain is quite disappointing. Those that come from bf/cod straight to arma will most likley hate it. Setting the terrainGrid to 50 will completely remove grass and give you a fair FPS increase at the cost of having to reduce your view distance to avoid the "floating" affect of nearby ridges and hills.ĭefault multiplayer terrainGrid i believe is 25 for multiplayer. I think you need to understand this game to enjoy it. The previous presets worked alright if you adjusted the terrain grid along with the view and objectview distances. This is why you need to adjust all 3 settings in relation to the performance and visual accuracy you are trying to achieve. In some cases you may experience clipping issues with ridges etc when trying to snipe.
